BIM is becoming easier for MEP engineers, says developer of Revit and AutoCAD add-on design tool.

Stabicad 10, the latest release of the BIM-focused MEP design tool for Revit and AutoCAD, features a new Electro tag tool and integrated air duct calculations.

The new Electro tag tool is designed to help Revit users save time when manually placing tags at electrical symbols (such as group numbers and switch letters).

The new air duct calculation feature provides integrated calculations within Revit. The software also supports the stricter ISSO 55 standard for tap water installations.

Revit users are also able to visualize mechanical engineering concepts of piping systems as schematic overviews. Stabicad 10 also optimises worksharing by integrating StabiBASE, its central project and drawing management software, with Revit Server.
