Digital Construction Week starts tomorrow in Islington, London, with keynote from Anne Kemp

In her keynote at Digital Construction Week tomorrow, chair of the UK BIM Alliance and Director and Fellow of Atkins, Anne Kemp will offer a roadmap to the continued development of BIM Level 2 and the Government Mandate for all companies and sectors within the construction supply chain.

Outlining the objectives and role of the UK BIM Alliance, the industry led body challenged by the Government to achieve BIM Level 2, Anne will detail how the construction industry can benefit from, and get more involved in BIM.

In her address, Anne will also share some headline feedback from the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) Annual BIM Conference earlier this month, where the UK BIM Alliance hosted six afternoon workshops. The sector specific, workshops captured the opportunities as well as the barriers that the implementation of BIM Level 2 has had, and is having, across every cross-section of the construction industry.

In addition, UK BIM Alliance will be working with BIM Regions to bring Digital Construction Week the BIM Village programme. Through a series of seminars, expert BIM sessions and drop in clinics, the BIM Village will focus on helping those starting out on their BIM journey. In the BIM Village, members of the UK BIM Alliance transition team will be on hand to discuss the role of the Alliance and to encourage those attending to get involved.

Digital Construction Week is held at the Business Design Centre, Islington, London on October 26 and 27.
